We are currently working on a pilot project called “Islam in British Stone” through which we are endeavouring to promote the relationship between Islam and Britain by using photography, film, 3D animation and games technology to produce a photo-real, virtual 3D interactive model of a historically significant British Islamic building. This will be placed into a computer games engine to create an interactive heritage resource.

Through various consultations, it has emerged that young people are interested in learning about their history and heritage, however, they can find some traditional methods of learning dull and boring. It is envisaged that by using the mediums of 3D animation and gaming more young people will be engaged in taking an interest in history, heritage, art & design and architecture
